Happy Texas Independence Day Y’all!

On March 2, 1836, Texas declared itself free from Mexico becoming a turning point for the state’s history.

The Texas Declaration of Independence was announced at a conference on Washington-on-the-Brazos. Historians believe the original handwritten declaration and five copies were made and signed by 59 men at Washington-on-the-Brazos.  Only the original document remains.  The fight between the Republic of Texas and the Mexican Army last for more than one month. Almost exactly ten years after Texas Independence Day was declared, the Republic joined the United States.

Just In Time Staffing will be closed tomorrow, Friday, March 3rd in observance of the “national” holiday.
